-I’m sorry, but I couldn’t resist posting this.
CatFish noodling has to be the most interesting/twisted “sport” I’ve seen in a long while. Apparently these guys (and gals) prowl catfish infested waters in search of probably hiding places for these giant fish. Whats next? They just stick their arm down in the as BAIT and move it around until they get a bite……ouch. Some “Noodlers” have reported near death experiences of being “clamped down on” by catfish so large they were pulled and held under water.

Big thanks goes out to the guys at MoldyChum for originally posting the article, It made for a great morning read!
-In a welcome break from drugs, wars, and gang murders, The Wall Street Journal gave Barton, Chandler and Lipton some much deserved exposure recently in the form of an article. I can’t help but think this article is appropriate only days after J.P.L spoke out about his love for Brownlining. Now, a much larger group of people have been exposed to the sport. I’m hoping Lipton’s calls for guiding start rollin’ in!
The article, and video follow Tom Teasdale as he casts for carp and other bottom dwelling fish in Urban environments, and explains how the term Brownliner was actually coined by Keith Barton of Singlerbarbed, and Tom Chandler of Trout Underground. A proud day for fishing blogs indeed! Congrats guys!
